Karen Donahue, PT, DPT
Dr. Donahue received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University in 1986 and then went on to receive her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990. She continued her professional education to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2006 from Washington University in St. Louis.
For the past 22 years, Dr. Donahue has owned and operated OrthoSports Physical Therapy with multiple locations in the greater Phoenix region. She is dedicated to research and has published several research articles in the areas of: osteoporosis, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), radicular lumbar symptoms presenting as localized coccyx pain and plantarfasciitis.
Since 2009, Dr. Donahue has served the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy as the senior investigator and compliance specialist. She received her Advanced Investigator Certification in 2011. Dr. Donahue investigates all complaints that come before the Board and monitors disciplinary actions taken against licensees and certificate holders.
Dr. Donahue has been active in the APTA and Arizona Physical Therapy Association since 1986. She has served on the Board of Directors from 1998 to 2009 in various elected positions including regional representative and Chief Delegate.
